I made this quilt for my friend who’s having a baby soon. The pattern is from this great new baby quilting book I recently received called, “Quilt’s Baby!” I highly recommend this book – it has so many great modern quilt designs in it! Everything is machine sewed. Took a few days to complete.
Linen; Various cotton quilting fabrics (The back has Moda "hoot" (i think) birds on it); Batting - Cotton

Gorgeous quilt! Did you applique after you quilted? It really is a beautiful quilt and should keep baby very warm?

Thank you! I quilted it after appliqueing it. I quilted around each applique piece. I used “warm and natural” batting inside it.

Thank you for the info…that is the only batting I use. I have only been quilting for about a year now and need to get busy again, have been sewing clothing and purses and miss quilting. Watch for my “plaid” quilt to come soon (I hope…LOL).
