At the beginning I made this dress for my friend. We choose fabric together, it was qualitative wool fabric. But I made a terrible mistake. I confess that I did not like prewash fabric before sewing. Before sewing this dress I didn’ t wash the fabric but only iron it with a steam. During the process we have two fittings and I liked final result. Before I gave the dress for my friend it was little bit dusty and I wash it. And ups, it shrunk and no more fit to my friend. It would be hard to redone it for my friend. It was easier to adjust it for myself. So I leave it for myself. Finally I have black classic dress :).
Instead of this dress now I am sewing Turquoise green dress for her. Of course I have got a great lesson and now I always prepare my fabric before sewing.

When I started sewing I didn’t even know what seam allowances were, so remembering that fabric might shrink is something I never took into consideration. :) A very nice black dress, though!
