The first skirt I finished. It’s based on the Burda 8176 but made about 1cm longer. It sits somewhat below my belly button and the hem hits my knees. What I really love about the cut is a) that it sits low enough for me to wear a tight shirt tucked in without it looking unflattering (usually it’d make me look shorter, despite being over 5’9’’ and especially thicker in the waist than I am) and b) the flare starts in the waistband and thus broadens my hips optically just a bit which also flatters my figure. :)
I might add a pic of how it actually sits on me later.
Oh, and despite some minor not so perfect things I’m really proud that I managed to kind of match the pattern of the waistband and skirt body in the front.
