This is one of my most favorite pieces, yet. It is the first time I tried myself in pattern making. It was far easier, than I have ever imagined! Perhaps this is because this dress is oversized? The design is based on BurdaStyle member Verypurpleperson´s project called Blue. Thanks to her for the inspiration!

How did you create those pleated, gathered details? Are you planning on making a how-to at all? ;)

I am sorry, I created my own pattern for this. But maybe you could try it yourself, too. It really was not so difficult. Imagine the cut like an oversized Tshirt, which is lengthened according to your height and modified at the neck. The front should be widened, if you would like to add the pleats. That is it! :)

I really love this dress! Perfect fabric for a dress that you can dress up or down. I do love the front placket detail. You should be very proud of yourself, and I agree with the prior post, I would want to wear it everyday to work!
