And another project made with one of the two very special and expensive fabrics I bought at Mood Fabrics on a trip to NYC.
This fabric is very thick and I wasn’t sure I could make a top out of it, but it worked out well, thought I can’t wear it yet because it is so warm!
I use the pattern selled by Evilneedles on Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/listing/54417333/pattern-easy-reconstruct-your-favorite) and altered the top of the shirt to make the neck opening larger (maybe you can guess that I shouldn’t !). Then I left a little opening while sewing the black band around the neck and added two fat bands to make a bow. I sewed the four pieces together but that was way too much trouble. I could have made a simple band around the neck and sew a big bow over it!
PS- Evilneedles is now working under her name, Patricia Valery. You can see her amazing work on her Burda style account! (http://www.burdastyle.com/profiles/pcvalery/my_studio)
A thick two layers of black and grey jersey and a cotton/lycra black jersey.
