Simplicity 2418, modern
I whipped up these blouses for a production of Annie. They were for the Boylan sisters (a trio of radio singers). I needed something that looks 1930’s without being too difficult but that would look nice on all three girls. This was also my first time using a slippery fabric and I have to say it really wasn’t bad!
Notes: It was definitely easy to make – no closures to deal with! My only bit of trouble was trying to get the edges all finished using my 1/4" hem foot. Sometimes I succeeded, sometimes I didn’t. The fabric was great too, it was from Jo-Ann, a sparkly costume satin (sadly you can’t see the spakles in the photos).
