For this dress, I used the Celestina pattern but changed the V neckline to a square one. After I finished making the dress, just like the Ruby Tuesday shorts, it was way too big on me! The frustration of it all!
So I gave the dress to Catherine because it fit her perfectly (I should just give up making my own clothes and make hers!). I don’t seem to mind however, because the pattern on the fabric and the style of the dress doesn’t suit me.
The dress looks so 1950’s housewife I just had to name it after the always impeccably styled Betty Draper (anyone else a Mad Men fan?!)
I also made a bow for the dress, but Catherine wasn’t bothered to wear it.

It think it looks just fab! Great work!
I have one question: how much fabric did you need? After I’ve seen yours I’m thinking of making a a sleeveless dress myself out of this pattern, but I don’t have enought fir the original one.

A++. This looks wonderful in this print. Celestina obviously begs a bold print, as all the versions I like best are the loudly printed ones!

Very nice! I have always thought there was something “off” with this pattern, and you’ve fixed it. The neckline makes such a difference. Great job :)
