Decided to make a simple, stylized TARDIS dress for Halloween 2011 — just the blue box with windows. The dress is based on a 60s-ish wedding dress pattern from Burda Style magazine. I opted against the lace and skipped the sleeves for a more TARDIS-y look. The windows are done with a fusible web to attach the white twill, and then I stitched on some black grosgrain to do the window panes. The hat is a teensy pillbox hat made out of the white twill and interfaced for a little stiffness. I stuck a light in there to mimic the TARDIS light, and plan on playing the TARDIS noise anytime I enter or leave a room. Ha!

This is such a great idea!! My costume was inspired by yours, but I wasn’t able to link to your costume when I uploaded mine! I did give you credit in the description, but linking somehow didn’t work. Sorry!
