This is my saloon girl/“moulin rouge/cancan” halloween costume. The corset was made from an 1890’s corset pattern in Corsets and Crinolines.
As you can see, there’s two variations… (I tacked some vintage appliques to the front for the “moulin rouge” version.) The moulin rouge version also had a sequined bustle, unfortunately it can’t be seen in the picture…

The outer fabric of the corset is a silk blend, with a cotton duck lining. It has a metal busk and plastic boning.
The overskirt is taffeta with silk fringe trim.
