I love Tim Burton movie costumes, and I wanted to make something similar to Alice’s party dress for my almost two year old daughter. I didn’t know how popular the Wonderland theme would be. Ha!
I used things that I already had on hand: blue linen, vintage buttons, a little bit of boning, and trim that I bought more than five years ago in LA. The only thing I purchased was the lace for the top. I created the pattern as I went along. It is not perfect, but I am happy how it turned out!
Linen.

Thank you! Her hair is usually more curly, but she just woke up from a nap… so you can really see her mullet. Oh well!
