I made this giraffe costume using the (Afternoon) Tea Top pattern. I lengthened the top and and added a circle skirt to the bottom with tulle underneath for volume. For the ears and horns, I used the scrap fabric from the dress, and muslin for the front of the ears. Once the ears were sewn together, I pinched the middle and sewed to about halfway up the ear to make it look more realistic. The horns were my favorite part. I shaped aluminum foil into the shape I needed then stuffed into a tube of the giraffe print fabric. The ears and horns are hand sewn onto an elastic headband.
