First time submitting to burda. I hope this goes well.
I made a fire fairy outfit this year for the Renaissance faire and I’m going to wear it again during Halloween. So I thought I’d enter for the Halloween costume contest.
I took apart an old white dress to make the vest. I used Danielle #9306 pattern for the top. I shortened bottom and added box pleats with trims, and used a simple bloomer pattern.
Everything was hand dyed with Rit dye except for the accessories, which I used red and orange fabric.
The wings were made with wire, cellophane wrap, glass paint, hot glue and fake flowers.
