This is my Halloween costume from last year (this year’s is in bits on my floor). It’s not half as exciting as most of the ones on here, but it was made in an hour so it’s a nice idea if you ever have to do something super last minute. The idea is that I’m a black widow spider, so there’s six legs sewn to the netting and armlets for the arms to make the last two ‘legs’. It was made from some really cheap and annoying stretch velvet and some silver net. The dress is just a tube, and the armlets are little tubes with holes for the thumbs. The legs were glued on then sewn over to make them stiff. The hat is just a fascinator base with net and feathers hot glued on, the hanky is a bit of lace from the stash.
Stretch velvet. Silver net.
