For Halloween this year my granddaughter saw pictures of seasonal fairies and decided she wanted to be an Autumn Fairy for Halloween. This is my interpretation – quite unlike the picture but more substantial. It is a separate sleeveless dress with a bolero style jacket. The wings were purchased.
All fabrics were remnants and fabrics on hand. Dress top and jacket are a flocked silk like fabric. Skirt is poly “china silk” and lame. Various ribbons, silk leaves, purchased butterflies and a glittered bird used as trims.
