Oklahoma City, O...
My eight year old son is a big fan of the Oklahoma City Thunder. For Halloween this year, he asked to be their fun-loving mascot, Rumble the Bison. I have never made a fursuit, with mask, before so this was a tremendous challenge for me. It was a difficult process, but it was well worth the excitement of my son the first time he tried it on. The fursuit is made of fake fur and lined with brown cotton fabric. The mask is made of foam, hot glue, the horns off of a Viking helmet and fake fur. My son sees out of the eyes which are covered with black Organza. I installed a computer fan powered by batteries into the mouth of the mask to keep him cool in the Oklahoma heat.To complete the costume, I added the jersey of my son’s favorite Thunder basketball player, Keven Durant. My son actually got to meet Rumble, the Bison in his costume last week. Rumble even posted pictures of him with my son to his Facebook!
