So I’ve decided to make a dress that defines classic, effortless chic. The 1950’s embody those same characteristics that I wanted to uphold in my garment. A simple dress with a halter definitely defines my vision. My best friend modeled for me and she did an amazing job, being that she modeled for the very first time. The style of the shoot is a very worn out look. The pictures look as though they have been ads taken during the 1950’s. Hopefully, everyone will love the look and the mood of the photos. I know I do. I was inspired by the recent Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 ads, which are gorgeous and embody the sophistication of the 1950’s… Enjoy :)
The fabric I found in my neighborhood fabric store is actually a vintage fabric.... Very well preserved cotton I must say.... When I saw it, I went crazy for it. The color, the print is soo retro, but in a good way...The lining is red polyester.
