i made this ball gown of silk dupioni for the marine corps birthday ball. i was inspired by the 30s, consisting of architecture, art deco, romance, and old hollywood and wanted to combine all these elements into the design. overall, i was very pleased with the outcome. i boned the bodice, oh and did i mention this is my second drape ever. no pattern was used whatsoever….its onehundredten percent original in design and construction. :)
