Description
I was comission to design and made a dress for this georgeos young woman specting a baby!!! She needed a special dress for a special party…..and also to be very confortable in her wonderfull special stage. Looking at books by chance, I found this picture of a Dior`collection in the 50`s and I could see my client right inside……of course my head plays tricks to me….so I saw her with gold and a bit of gliter since as you can see, she is beautifull and…. radiant!!! and I added the gold strap with swarovski crystals, and then…the round shawl with the same crystals all over, and at the end of each side I put this heavy crystal pieces that I put together for this…………Well, I really love this dress, I love the 50`s that mark the siluete in such way, and I love the way that it looks on my beautifull client. So….what do you think???
Material Notes
Dress in 100% silk chiffon, lining in 100% silk charmeusse and habotai, chawl in 100% silk organza. Heavy gold trim finish with swarovski cristals.

Hi tuky!! thank you for your comment, but….no, it is not from pronovias…..I did design and make this dress for this particular person…..may be….there is a dress similar to this in the pronovias collection, but I have not copy it from them. Thank you again!

jajaja!! no my darling, actually, the Maria Antonieta wedding dress was made about 2 years ago……the ocean waves with hand dyed shawl…..about 3 weeks ago, and that one was very simple, only the dyeing was labor intense…..this one for the mother to be, also was finished 2 weeks ago, and the one with catherine hepburn in mind…..just finished last night!!!! yes I work a lot, and at night time also, because this is my work but……my passion too, and allways am in a hurry to see the end result. I am glad that you like this one……really the picture is not fair, because this dress is……just a dream!!! really.
