Description
When I spied this fabric I was so excited by the challenge those lines of dots presented.
I am a mad perfectionist and it took me FOREVER to match all of the dots.
Not only are the colours so incredibly beautiful, this jacket is super comfy and light, but protects from a breeze. I’m sooo happy with the result.
Material Notes
It’s made out of a kind of puffy fabric that gives it texture and adds an interesting dimension to how it wears.

Oh, love the jacket. Pity it will soon be too hot to wear it. I admire anyone with the patience to match patterns this well. When I start a project I want it finished yesterday. I have to ask (I’m from the Barossa), where did you find that lovely fabric? Adelaide is such a dry spot for fabric.

Thanks for your compliments! Yes I did use a pattern. It was the reader’s design in BWOF 01/2006. I just left off the pockets and tabs.

I like the high collar. It makes the jacket more feminine. Great color. Will you be making another?

Beautiful fabric, and great job! The pattern looks familiar to me… maybe BWOF pattern (the red jacket in the magazine, if I’m right)?

Looks really well made – matching up the dots so that they run in a straight line must’ve been difficult but the end result was definitely worth it. What pattern did you use?
