Description

Just in time to brighten up your spring wardrobe, these fresh high-waisted Bella pants are a good fit for many sizes. Due to the wider shape of the pant leg, they are easy on the curves, incredibly comfortable to wear, and the high waist makes your legs look like they go on forever! If you don’t like the pleats on either side, just sew them closed or remove them from of the pattern. These pants are both an easy-to-wear classic and right on-trend with the waistline moving up. Enjoy!

Bella is not an easy fit. I like a high waist and wide legs, but the pockets are not very flattering when you have a small tummy, like I do. I’m altering Bella now, without the pleats in the pockets, but that is not that easy as Burdastyle likes you to think. I will keep you all informed about the results….

Wow, I really want to make these, but possibly with two button lines on each hip in line with the pockets so they look like sailor pants. I love how wide they are! Burdastyle keeps bringing it….

these are adorable!!! and don’t fear the high waist, even if you aren’t a size 2…I’m not , and I have a couple of pairs of the higher waist stuff, and they are really flattering (especially with a fitted top with short ‘poof’ sleeves)
they make your waist look teeny and the wider leg is really slimming!

can’t wait to buy this and make them for spring!!! what fabric to choose hmmmm…

I’m thinking I might try these and do a corset lacing instead of those buttons.

Just got my fabric…starting tonight. Think I’m going to try these exactly the way they are?

They look very nice, but I won´t get used to high-waisted jeans. I do still love hipsters and think high-waisted trousers are not comfy.

to grafixconcepts:they are fantastic, sadly and speaking from previous experience i can’t wear this, it’s not for the shapely.warning!!! but it’s perfect for someone that would like to look shapelier, it will make them look like they have quite a booty.

I’m not keen on the legs, I’m stumpy enough as it is, but they’d make a cracking pair of shorts.

I am so happy to hear that you all seem to like them. Here a few tips…
For pear shapes. Key is to measure well on your widest part of the body. Then choose a size that is closest to your measurements and either let it out at the bigger parts or take it in on smaller body parts. Make sure to have enough room in the hips, otherwise they loose the flattering shape. The pleats also tend to then stretch open and that does not look good. If you are worried about them, either sew them closed to keep the look, or eliminate them.
The waistband creates a great shape of your body and is really comfortable.
Since I am pretty short, the pantlegs are a little too wide for me, but you can easily adjust that to a more narrow leg.
Please post any further questions you may have in regards to the pants.

i’m ok with the pleats and the width, but there is something else not really my taste … i don’t like the buttons and i think i would put that hipline not halfway between the waist and crotch but higher, at 1/3 from the waist or so.

They look beautiful on the model! The curve in the back is lovely. I think that style would require being tall and having a defined waist.

I like these, I am a big fan of wide leg pants, but I don’t think those pleats in the front just where the hips turn into thighs would flatter me.

SO CUTE! Would they look OK on those of us in the “pear-shaped” category?? Opinions? Anyone?

I think it has realy potential, especially since the high waist is fitted like the bodice on a dress to flatter, rather than as they were back in the day… still not sure whether I could pull them off though. Maybe in the summer once I’ve gotten back into a little better shape. I love the shape of the pockets though, along with the bodice in the back they look really stylish.

I need to get them. love them. love those pleats. I think there is a good potential in it for making it either pretty or chic, or both!

I was loathing the high-waisted movement until just now. Amazing. I have to make these right after I finish Liz.

Wow, these pants are really cool. I’d be keen to try them with a normal waistline but keeping the pleats. Hmm, first I need to put a dent in my fabric stash so that I can justify going fabric shopping again…That may take a while.

omg! I am SO excited about these! I love the waistline, but I’m not so sure about the pant legs though, they look a bit big. I’ll either take them in a bit or make a cute pair of shorts! ugh I just saw that they’re charging $4!!! We’ll see…
