My second version of Sewaholic’s Belcarra Blouse is one size larger than the first. I’m still working at making nice baby hems and bound openings, but it’s wearable despite the wonkiness. I spent some time not liking the pin tucks. The stitching felt sloppy and they were wavy, not smooth and neat and flat. As it turns out, I rather like the lettuce effect they have.
The fabric is a beautiful sea green color cotton/silk blend voile. The warp lines are a teal blue and the weft is a lovely pale yellow green resulting in a fabric that reads soft and light and smooth as cotton, but with the color dimension and sheen of dupioni.
