So I started this project far too long ago… I think before the summer of this year. yikes! It is altered from Burda 7650 pattern. I wanted to make a comfy but lux beach resort type of top with a military feel (I love members only style shoulders!)
I am very inexperienced (period) but making silk chiffon do what I wanted proved to overcome me(even with the french seam tutorial I finally used) and I tucked away this project 85% done and forgot about it. I got home today after a terrible cold, rainy and unproductive day really wanting to make something so I could feel accomplished. This was perfect..
So, I finished a few seams and re-evaluated the situation and all I need to do is add the metal snaps down the front (I do love those snaps!) And fell in love with the fabric all over again.
My messy armhole stitching matches the fabric, and over all I am satisfied with the relaxed feel of the piece. I will definitely post new pics when the weather permits!
ps. the black top underneath is actually a jersey bandage skirt that I made this summer (super easy, just a tube with hems) and seem to wear more like this than as a skirt!

It’s a wonderful tunic made from wonderful fabric! I love it, the colors, the way you made it, everything on it!
