I made this dress for my sister to wear to our brother’s wedding. It didn’t fit quite as nicely as I had hoped as we live too far apart for me to do a proper fitting.

Hi everyone, thankyou for all your lovely comments – it makes me want to sew more : ) The pattern is a Vogue Designer – but I don’t remember the number – the picture on the packet is a floor length version of the dress in a royal blue – I would have loved to have made the longer one, but the occasion didn’t suit.

Gorgeous colour on your sis. I think this is a top job and the style of the dress subsides the fact that it myt not be a perfect fit because of the gathers etc.
