For this top I bought a piece of black lace fabric (non stretch) and cut out the design carefully, I then hand sewed it onto a stretch beige t-shirt I sewed. The hand sewing took a lot longer than I originally thought! I also added a few plastic ‘jewels’ in between the lace – can’t think of their name right now sorry! Seeing as this top took so long to make, I really need to wear it more! I’ve only worn it twice and made it quite a while ago, I need to make a black skirt to go with tops like these – I often don’t end up making wardrobe staples – going instead for the more interesting fabric items and not the ‘boring’ ones, but a black pencil skirt is just what I need!

It looks very good. Did you do anything special to make sure the non-stretch lace would work on the stretchy t-shirt surface?

that looks like something that would be very expensive in a store, but it’s homemade! i love it :-)

wow! You really transformed that simple tee. Love this! Also, it looks great with jeans—that’s the beauty of a t-shirt.

LOVE THIS! Any additional tips you can provide would be great. I have a perfect nude stretch material that would look great jazzed up like this.
