I purchased this beet (or radish!) printed fabric from the 1940s on Etsy several months back, and saved it until I found the perfect pattern for it. Is this it? Doesn’t matter now, I’ve already made it!
I subbed a little loop-and-button for the ties. The button is a little cluster of beets, also from the ’40s! Sew darling.
The pattern I used is from the ’70s, Simplicity 8262, which I am selling in my Etsy shop. I had a little trouble getting the v-cut neck to keep a good point once I flipped the facing toward the inside. Does anyone have any tips for that? Fusible interfacing, maybe?

I made this blouse back in the 70’s for a HS sewing project. Love the beet print.

I have made that shirt! For the V part in the front I made the right and left sides two different pieces. I used a striped fabric that was cut on the bias because I wanted to have a chevron effect. Check out my projects to see the end result.

Ohhh, so just extend the split down the whole yoke. Racy! ;) I love that you’ve made it too.
