For Karen’s pyjama party I decided to make a bed-wardrobe instead of just pyjamas (I made two pyjama shorts from an Ottobre pattern and realised pyjamas alone were too quick and easy and since I had a week I might as well gear up for winter with some nice warm house clothes). I used a red DKNY cotton knit for the faux wrap top and some hilarious reindeer + snowflake micro fleece for the pants. The top is is pattern 116 A/B and the pyjamas are pattern 128 both from Burda World of Fashion (oh how I miss thee) 10/2006. I matched up all the stripes for the pants carefully and laid out the pattern so the turn in of the hem would appear picot’ed due to the scallopes from the black stripe. See second last picture. The silk pyjama shorts are from Ottobre Woman Autumn Winter 2011, Pattern 2.
The quilted bed-jacket with the draped collar is Cape pattern #6 from La Mia Boutique 12/2010 which I’ve described separately here http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/blast-from-the-past-inspired-quilted-bed-jacket.
