Description

The skirt is a simple gathered skirt with elastic waist band. The shirt is a sleeveless chemise with eyelet lace added to the bottom. There is one pocket on the shirt and one on the skirt. I ran out of fabric and used 13 inch eyelet lace to finish the hijab. I made a pair of eyelet lace sleeves to wear with this outfit so I can even wear it to town.

Material Notes

3 yards light weight cotton blend fabric

2 spools thread
1/2 inch elastic
6 inch white eyelet lace

No pattern. I look at a picture of something and if I get a ‘feel for it’ I try to make it. Sometimes I can SEE how it is made. If I could figure patterns out that would be great but they make no sence to my brain. So far so good but I can’t take the credit. After all I am not the one that made my brain work the way it does. Shukran Allah! I also have to give credit to my husband who believes in me and my kids and grandkids that “say yes you can”!

ASA. I really like this hijab. Did you use a pattern? You are inspiring me to “just do it”. I have not freestyled in years. Thanks again for a lovely garment.
