Silk shawl with polyester lining fabric, beaded and embroidered following the flower prints on the fabric as a guide. I’ve completed dozens of small sewing projects way back when i was much younger but this is my first sewing piece that I’ve taken a whole lot of effort in planning, designing and carefully choosing the right materials and fabric. The embroidery and beading work took a lot of time but was definitely well worth all the hardwork I’ve put in. I’ll be giving this away as a belated birthday gift.
Polyester silk with polyester lining, beads, sequins and embroidery threads.

LYBU: yes, it wasn’t expensive getting the beads, sequins, threads and fabric but the beading and embroidery took a lot of my time. i had to reduce the number of flowers i had planned to embroider and bead cos i was sure that i would definitely not finish it in time (the 1+ week completion time was way longer than the 3-4 days that i had initially expected). i had to put on a cd, programmed at random mode, on repeat to keep me mentally occupied while i beaded and embroidered, flower patterns after flower patterns. the cd probably went through a total of 20+ hours play time o_o

Really beautiful. Making something like that cost a lot of work and time, I believe. And you have to be very precisely. I do not think that I would have that much patience. Great done !!!
