I made this neckpiece as a Christmas gift for my sister, circa 2009. Her bee tattoo on the back of her leg was my inspiration, and I used photographs of bees I found on the internet as guides. After the beading on a white stretchy fabric was finished, I sewed in blue velvet ribbons and a brown velvet backing. On Christmas morning she opened the neckpiece and immediately tied it into her hair. I suppose it had two purposes after all..
