Description

Rectangle of fabric with two slits becomes a super easy beach wrap or sundress. I used leftover fabric and didn’t even really sew because the edges looked great. This will go in the beach bag and be ready for sunset cocktails after a day at the beach.

This pattern is in the July 2013 Burda Style Magazine on pg 20. Dress #126

Material Notes

Jersey knit…can work with linens too.

I’m so happy to see someone made this: I fell in love with it right away, but feared that it was too simple to be true. Instead, it seems to fit just right! And the natural drape is great!

I thought the same thing too when I saw the pattern and pics in Burda…too simple to be true. Now I wish I had known of this years ago for beach coverups and the like. If you find the right fabrics it drapes great. I am going to alter a few of my old sarongs to this style to give them new life.
