This is a 1950’s style halter top beach buster that I made using a pattern I recently designed. The pattern is based off of the 1950’s Hollywood style with a bit of Marilyn thrown into the mix. I sewed the beach bustier first and I plan on adding a skirt to make it into a dress, but it also looks great with shorts!

oh my god, this is absolutley gorgeous. You’ve done a fantastic job. I’m in the middle of making a dress for the races coming up and I’ve decided to go with the Nautical theme, it’s been impossible to find material that I really want so thanks for the notation of the fabric shop.. Good job, I’ts really inspiring.

Anna, Anna – this is the essential summer piece! I love your use of the nautical fabric and the contrasting navy fabric. I do hope you get a chance to wear it during the three days of warm weather you get ;)

LOVE the fabric. Very cute. How supportive is it?

Hi! I would say that with the halter top it would be relatively supportive, but this is coming from a girl with a B-cup, so I’m not really an authority on the topic :)
