Description

My son’s school will be having the annual summer festival next month, there will be dance, fireworks, and bonfire. Usually people go to summer festival wearing yukata, so I thought I’d make a yukata for him to wear that day. This piece of batik is a gift from a friend, and I thought it’d made a perfect yukata.

I’ve never sew a yukata before, so it was fun finding out the way. The fabric was very easy to handle, sewing it was a breeze.

My son loves it so much that he wore it to sleep.

The pattern is a free nani IRO pattern from the website http://www.kokka.co.jp/so-ing/sewing/index.html

    I like it so much! My boyfriend want a kimono, but I don’t find the right fabric for this. This one you made for your son is beautiful, the fabric is great for this and he looks so happy! Love this creation! And thank you for the link!
