Bit of a nightmare but worth it I think :)
Took me about a week, between printing out the massive pattern and sticking it all together, and trying to figure out the instructions on how to do that yoke thing. I finally worked it out with help from Burda STyle members (thank you!), the All In One facing How To, and goatsfoot’s flickr tutorial on this. So glad I finally got there, i was nearly in tears!!
Next time (if there is one), i will use sheer material for the upper – i think ive ended up looking like Maria Von Trapp :). And quite fancy making the yoke out of stretchy material because theres not a lot of manouverability in that shape.
I put an invisible zip in but really I dont think there was a need for a zip at all because its a roomy dress below the yoke.
Not quite finished the hemming yet, i couldnt wait to get it on and take a pic!
This is my first solo sewing project! Onward and upward!
Ivory satin, green/blue batik cotton. Blood, sweat, tears.

p.s. forgot to add.. changed the pattern a bit, made the upper dress narrower by half as i didnt want the bulkier cotton billowing out in a huge way due to all the gathering :)
