I am sorry that you have sometimes problems with the handles, so I hope that the following picture will explain a bit better.
Important: Use felt fabric or some similar which you don´t have to serge. I used for the “how to do” 2 normal fabrics to show you better the step. The white pink fabric is the later the right side fabric!!
