I think I’ve developed a love/hate relationship with this pattern! I’ve made this to match some fab shoes I’ll be wearing next month at my brother’s wedding. I have yet to add the ribbon to the edge of the handle to hide the pinking – but I was so desperate to get to other things that I decided I was largely finished and could do that some other time! This is actually the 3rd Bathina I’ve made – improving each time, but not necessarily all the improvements in the final article, unfortunately! I’m reasonably happy with the outcome as I added inner pockets (in a different lining as I ran out of the original curtain lining!) and most of the work is quite neat. The handle STILL gives me bother and the whole thing turned out a little unintentionally assymmetrical!
One lined curtain bought for 2 quid from a remnant box. Some extra navy lining for inner pockets. Interfacing. Thread.

Oh, I do hope you understand that there’s nothing wrong with the pattern – it’s ME that’s the problem!! Also, I didn’t do the handles in felt like your pattern said, so my problems are self-inflicted! I think it’s a really cute bag but I think I’m not gifted at sewing curves!!
Thanks for your pattern and thanks for your comments!

I am sorry that you had a hate relationship with the pattern. I wish I could come over and help you or show you how to do. Did you have a look to my how to do with the handles here? If you have problems to fix the handles in the right positions on both sides, fix them with spray glue
