Originally, this should have been my Halloween costume in 2010, but as last year, I didn’t manage to finish in time. so i changed plans and altered my design, so I could wear it on an average day (I didn’t include bat wings for example ;-) ).
My dress is btw hugely inspired by Lipgloss & Black , you have to love those two :3
the bubble skirt was a kind of trial and error thing. cause I didn’t use any pattern for this dress, except a good fitting shirt of mine.
So when I walk, the hem of the skirt (elastic) kind of creeps up my thighs, it still looks moderate though =)
Just feels weird ^^
I almost serged the whole dress, except the seam at the neckline, where the hood is attached. And for the ears i used average plush toy stuffing from a craft store =) or else they wouldn’t stand up that nicely.
And I followed this tutorial for the pockets
Lots of jersey (pink and black), stuffing for the ears, elastic for the hem of the bubble skirt, black thread, serger
