This is my scarecrow and good friend Basil. He looks a bit upset. That is probably because I “helped” (also known as: “forced”) him into one of my own-made dresses. I really had to convince him of the fact that the colors actually do go with his eyes, and that he still looks terribly scary, even with a skirt… Jee, all that insecurity the poor bloke has to deal with…
Fortunately, the dress looks better on me, or at least I like to think so (but shush, don’t let Basil hear me say this). The pattern is from Knipmode (feb. 2011), a dutch sewing magazine. It’s easy, and the first dress I ever made. There are some mistakes, but thanks to the print on the fabric only an experienced eye would spot them :) The fabric is a very colourful bright tricot that I bought in a fabric outlet store in Ostend
