I decided that I needed some basic maternity wear now that my regular clothes are getting too tight and too short. Megan Nielsen’s Ruched Maternity Top proved to be just what I looking for.
This was my first time sewing with knits – and let me just encourage anyone who is intimidated by it – it’s not that hard! Actually I was able to sew this up much quicker than I anticipated. Making sure to carefully follow the grain line when cutting out the pattern pieces already made this shirt higher quality than most of my RTW knits – as they seem to almost always be off grain.
I love how this pattern will see me through my pregnancy, it fits comfortably now and there is still plenty of room for growth.
