I made this dress as an easy “i’m running out and am tired of jeans and white tee” outfit. It is 2 pieces and 4 seams. I can see this as a base for many accessories, I particularly love it with a belt. Ant it can be worn high as a baby-doll, low as a high-waisted skirt, or my favorite way as an empire style with a top cuff.
I also can see this in an assortment of fabrics and lengths, so I made a quick (like super duper quick) tutorial so you all can try this out as well!

About how much yardage did you use? I’m trying to figure out how much I would need to make this.

Hope this doesn’t post twice – something weird just happened as I was writing this. Thanks for pointing me to the instructions tab – I clicked on the photo of the instructions instead of the tab. Some days I am so dense :-} I love this little dress. Have you worn it as a high waist skirt or empire with the little Tshirt tucked in? Or does that not work? I sort of remember something similar that Audrey Hepburn wore in one of her movies. Very versatile. Thanks

I have worn it highwaisted with thin slim fitting shirts and camis tucked in, and it works fine without becoming rumpled under the skirt… i tend not to wear a lot of closely fitting bottoms and tops together, not do i really like wearing knits with knits so I didnt have any pics of it. it wouldnt work with the tshirt pictured above tucked in because that is a cropped top. I think because the skirt is 4 layers of knit when folded down it will hide the outlines of tucked tops underneath.

I definitely have one almost exactly like this in my closet (or maybe in my laundry hamper??) right now. I love it’s versatility.

Thanks for this. I’ve been thinking about how to whip up something like this, but I would not have thought to make a full circle skirt and then I would have been disappointed! I’ll post when I make mine too.

The PDF is cut off on the side and doesn’t show all the sketches and/or notes. This looks cute and easy.
