Inspired by last year’s creation – my non traditional take of the M65 military jacket – I had another classic in mind for this spring.
The pattern is a copy of my Adidias Original tracksuit top with slight adjustments in cuttings and lenghts. The detail I’m most pleased with, considering it’s free hand work, is the pockets. Unfortunately no pic shows how neat and tidy I managed to make them come together.
The off-white rib knit actually wasn’t the idea from start. I’ve been looking around a lifetime for the striped trimmings, typical for baseball jackets. But going with neck, cuffs and waist in off-white was a lucky coincidence – I think it gives the jacket a summery look and feel. That being said, it’s lined so it’s WARM and is the perfect jacket in coolish Swedish May weather.

Hi I absolutely love the jacket. I wondered if you have any idea where I can find instructions for making my own as I have wanted to for ages but I can’t seem to find anything online with a simple tutorial. Perhaps there is a book I could try?
