Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This is my version of the Starburst skirt from Burda 05/2012 model 113.
I made it in the wrong fabric and boy! I paid for that mistake!
The top is Donna Karan Vogue 1282

I love cowl necks, I love pink and I love your outfit !! The material of your skirt is georgeous and not only that, but very versatile for matching tops! Must have a look on your blog about the skirt, I tried this pattern and got it completely wrong, so in the end I remodelled it as a top :-(

I suppose it depends on the kind of fabric you use, mine was a bit elastic but not enough, the pleats were very difficult to match too! I think you could give it another try on a different fabric. Thank you!

I buy all my fabric at the local stores, I like touching them and see how they drape… never got around buying on line, sometimes I´m tempted though. How is your sewing?

Yes, almost packed. I am on a walking tour in Bulgaria for 2 weeks and then 1 week in Paris and then a cycling tour in the Burgundy region of France. So I will have a mixed bag of clothes and I think I will look like a vagrant in Paris. I have no room in my bag for chic clothes!! – the 20kg baggage allowance is so unfair!!!
