I wanted something shiny and a bit horrible/cute to wear to a Misfits show. This is what I chose…
I wish it had draped better, it fits like a sack due to the fabric choice. I could not do much with making it fit better since the foil layer will stretch if manipulated too much. Also, I could not pin it together or rip seams since it would make holes in the foil. It’s not too bad for what I had to work with. This is definitely a novelty dress and will not last long.
I will enjoy making this again with in a silk.
Material Notes
Black challis for the wings, straps, and contrast.
Metallic green costume fabric.
