Position the front and back wing pieces together, right sides facing. Stitch the shoulder seams to the cross line (seam 8). Secure seam ends. Trim allowances, neaten and press. Turn the allowances along the slit inside and press (a).

Stitch along the fold line using tightly adjusted zigzag stitch. Trim the overlapping allowance close to the seam line (b).

ADVICE: Try it out using a fabric scrap. Use machine thread or darning cotton. Check stitch adjustment and thread tension. Snip it the front wings ¼“ (0.7 cm) at the cross line ©. Turn and press the allowances of the outer wing edges and neaten.
