Description

Bambi top with a few changes. I wanted to wear it without a bra, so I added bra cups. The front v was too gappy for wearing, so I cut a 2 inch strip, folded this in half and turned right side out resulting in a 1 inch strip, gathered the inside v to the amount required and sewed the strip onto the top. Next time I will cut a size smaller.
Instead of the elastic held by a channel of thread, I use elastic shirring on the back piece. I have sewn along and between the lines marked on the pattern.
I don’t have a serger/overlocker, so the waist seams have a bias binding finish, and the side seams are french seamed.
I have included a photo of the shirring from the back (where you can also see the front binding) and the inside.

I love the fabric. And the idea of altering the front V it’s great.

The yardage was 2m of 114cm fabric for size 44 (this was enough for the wings).
