This fabric has been sitting in my stash for half a year. I bought it in the sale of last winter’s fabrics for a different kind of balloon skirt, but then the wheather got too warm. Now, I didn’t quite like the other pattern anymore (hip yoke with balloon piece attached) and wanted one with pleats. In the new Burda Easy Fashion was a pattern for a dress with just that kind of skirt, so I adepted that. It’s still a bit of an experiment for me. I’ve never worn a balloon skirt before, or any other skirt that’s very full right from the top. I figured that now is the time to try out such things, though.
