    Do you have an email I can send a photo to? It might help with my problem. And thank you so much for taking your time in helping me Margarida! You are an angel. I would really like to finish this jacket and wear it.

      I can not understand very well what is your problem. I’ll give you my email for you to send one or more photos of it. I think this will help me understand your difficulty. I hope I can help you finish the coat. It is really beautiful.
      Have you see the fotos that I already joint to the project?

    So don’t you have extra seam length in the back piece of the lining after you have sewn the seam to the front piece of lining? There is extra seam allowance on the back piece with no coordinating front seam. Or do I just fold it out of the way?

    Lovely jacket, Margarida! I am making one also but am having trouble with the lining pieces. Can’t figure out how it is supposed to be attached at the top and shoulder area. Doesn’t seem to work. Any help? Would really appreciate it.

      Hello Elizabeth
      Thank you for your words. Actually, I really enjoyed making this jacket as well as the final result.
      As regards the application of the liner, it has to be made like the jacket, the entire garment.
      Then you’ll turn the coat inside out and join the liner to coat by fitting sleeves (the coat inside out and the lining of the right side).
      Now, there are two ways to sew the lining to the coat: 1- one is with tailoring technique, which is more effective because it is sewn with the sewing machine, but is complex to explain by texting;
      2- the other way is sewn around the liner by hand, with invisible point. It’s simpler but more time consuming. In this case, before joining the lining to the coat, you should mark the lining of the sheath with iron, and sew it to the coat at a distance of at least 3 cm / 1.18 in) from the folds (on the bottom of the sleeves, on the bottom of the coat and on the neckline).
      P.S. I apologize for the mistakes I made when writing in English. I would love to send some pictures of the coat, seen from the side of the liner but here I can not. So I’ll add in my project … You may see them there.
      Best
      Margarida
