I used average size, size 33-34. One of the men you see on the picture:-)
I took for the waste material of bag the upper of the pant leg (4 pieces), cut the side seams.

Thank-you for your reply. I would love to make this bag but need to go to a thrift shop to buy some jeans. Where I live though, I will not be filling it with firewood as I live in a very warm climate. I think it will be good for magazines.
