I made something my mom would like. I used the Small Tote Bag how-to by eichhorncreations (here on Burda) as a basis, then I added the things only my mom likes and pinched the corners into make it pouch out. She hates outside pockets so I put five inside pockets on it. She likes bright, flowery fabrics and pink, so, yeah, it is just that! I made her several little things to go with it: a key fob and I attached a key ring inside so she doesn’t have to rummage through the whole bag to find her keys; a pouch with a crochet drawstring; a flat and boring checkbook-like wallet because she always complains that wallets are to big and bulky; a tiny cash and carry pocket sized wallet, thanks for that one to the Cute Wallet how-to by tamara_caracol (here on Burda). There are tiny flower-shaped pink/clear buttons that are too tiny to see because I shrunk the pics to 400 pixels.
Crisp cotton fabric and lining from Hancock, on sale at 50% off!
Tiny buttons form Joanne’s. I included the spare button and thread in case anything comes undone.
