I was trying to make a handkerchief skirt but I’m very bad at math so I cute the center hole too big and had to gather it on to a knit flare base, then added a band for the elastic to feed through. I found a site that offers a lovely little graph to help though…

Next time that happens its ok, it’ll just add a bit more flare to the skirt when you attach the elastic, so make sure the elastic is perfect for your size and the skirt will be nice and full!
