I used several different patterns and made enough modifications to call it my own. The finished backpack came out great and my daughter couldn’t be happier. Now I am making another for my grandson. This was fun to make and the only difficult part was sewing through the multiple layers on curved seams, but other than that the overall project was easy.
Heavy cotton exterior fabric, lightweight cotton lining, heavyweight interfacing, mediumweight & lightweight interfacing were used, cotton stuffing, cotton batting, 30" Zipper, 12" Zipper, and ribbon.

That is so awesome! What a great idea, too (the bags my kids keep getting for school are absolute trash). Your care and attention to detail really shows!
